What a fun weekend! The Riverchase Sr. High teens had a wonderful time camping in the great outdoors this past weekend at the Wind Creek State Park in Alexander City. We were joined by some brave and adventuresome chaperons who went above and beyond in their service over the weekend.

We built ourselves a little “tent city” with close to 15 tents set up on a little hill. We had a central eating area with a little fire pit to keep ourselves warm in the early mornings and late evenings. Many a song, joke, and riddle were told around that campfire!

The weekend was about encouragement. It was a weekend of remembering how we are to encourage one another and how, as a youth group, we do that on a daily basis. It was a weekend away from the world to renew friendships, brotherhood, and our love for one another. It was truly a blessing to all who attended!
