I am the Light of the World - Daniel

Read the following verses:
Daniel 1:3-7

How does scripture describe Daniel? Would you or I fit into this description? What stands out to you about his "attributes"?

Daniel 1:8-20

What decision does Daniel make? How does it affect him? How COULD it have affected him? What are some decisions that we make today that are like Daniels decision? (ex. smoking, drugs, lifestyle, promiscuity, etc.)

Daniel 6:13-23

What did Daniel do when he was told he could not worship God? How would you react if you were told the same? How did Daniel react to his being thrown into the lion's den? Did he curse God?

Main Point -

What choices did Daniel make in his life that made him stand out as a light to the world? Did he fit in or did he stand out? What made him so special?

- Courage to do what was right

- Passion for his God above all other things

- Godly Wisdom: not his own wisdom!

Describe a moment where you showed courage. Describe a moment where you showed passion. Describe a moment where you showed wisdom.

Now, describe a moment where you showed courage for God and your faith. Describe a moment where you showed a passion and longing for your God and faith. Finally, describe a moment where you showed Godly wisdom and faith. Are you standing out?
