- Describe how a person gets depressed? What happens?
- Why does it matter that God is love? Does that really help you at all?
- What sorts of things could a king do for someone he loves who is hurting?
- If God is faithful, why doesn’t He move as quickly as we want Him to sometimes?
- Do you tend to think of God as joyful? Why or why not?
- Is repenting of a sin a key to surviving depression?
- What sorts of thoughts might you have to take captive, to keep from succumbing to depression?
- What did Jesus mean when He told us to remain in Him?
- When is it hard to keep hoping for something?

- Is it wrong to feel depressed?
- Are you a type of person to get depressed easily? Or do you find it relatively easy to be joyful most of the time?
- Uncorrected sin can lead to depression. Have you ever noticed this in your own life?
- How can you make sure you remain in Jesus? What things can you do?
Prayer:
- Spend some time asking God if there are any uncorrected sins in your own life that you need to repent for and handle correctly.
- Pray for anybody in the group who is struggling with depression, and ask God to help them through it.
- Pray for friends or family members who are depressed.
