I & II Peter
Peter follows Jesus' instruction to "feed my sheep" by reminding us of many things God wants us to know. He puts great emphasis on growing. We are to be holy because God is holy. He gives specifics on what that means; some things to stop doing and some other things to start doing. He says we are to share in Christ's suffering. He gives assurance that we have a hope that we can count on.
John's Gospel – John writes his summary of the ministry of Jesus so that we might believe and have life (John 24:18). He gives a picture of Jesus that is unique from the other gospel writers. He records many of the "I am" phrases Jesus used such as the vine, the resurrection, good shepherd, the way the truth and the life, bread of life.
