God's Plan for Salvation Salvation was not God's "Plan B". Before the world was created God had a plan to save us. But why does God's plan matter to me? What is so good about the "good news"? Look at the way God showed us His love and how it is so much greater than we deserve. Our response to that love should be a life of gratitude.
Acts – The Church/The Family of God See the church as it begins and follow it through as it spreads throughout the world. How did it spread? How did they support each other? How did they deal with conflicts and questions? When did they meet? What did they do when they met for worship? How often did they take the Lord's Supper? What was the purpose of the spiritual gifts?
James This letter is full of practical application. James teaches the importance and value of faith. Hearing alone is not enough; we must put what we hear into practice. James compares faith with works and shows the importance of both. He concludes with advice, admonitions and exhortations to be wise in our speech, action, and use of God's blessings.
Friendships One of the most important factors in whether or not a teenager focuses on spiritual growth is what kind of friends they have. Their closest friends have a huge impact on their attitudes. God intended for relationships to be a significant element in our life. Look at the example of Jesus sending out the disciples in pairs and not individually. See examples of friendships from the Bible. How did good friends support each other and how did poor choices lead to downfall? What made the friendship of David and Jonathan so great?
