The Beatitudes and the Sermon on the Mount
Jesus begins by listing keys to happiness. He follows these with a call to live at a higher level than following a set of rules. Jesus talks about what is truly important. He gives an example of how we should pray. He concludes with the story of wise and foolish builders.

Pastoral Epistles (I/II Timothy and Titus)
Take a close look at what the Spirit guided Paul to tell these two younger men. As Paul was nearing the end of his life he gave them instruction, encouragement, and assurance. He repeatedly tells them that there is truth (sound doctrine or knowledge) and God has given it to us. We have been entrusted with this gift (the truth) and we are expected to tell others about it.

Men and Women of Faith
Study various characters from the Bible who lived lives of faith. Look at the struggles they went through, their attitude, what helped them remain faithful, and how we can become like them.

Philippians - Having the Mind of Christ
It's not about me. It is about coming to know Jesus and becoming like Him. Righteousness comes not through our own hard work but through our faith in Jesus. Focus on what Jesus did for us and how we can press on toward the goal of being like Him.
